Obama has lifted the ban on stem cell research (http://www.reuters.com/article/worldNews/idUSTRE5293EZ20090310?feedType=RSS&feedName=worldNews&rpc=22&sp=true).
Good idea? Bad idea? What do you guys think?
It should come as no surprise that I'm against stem cell research if it involves the creation and destruction of human life just for research. That's wrong. However, as long as abortion is legal, which may be a while with Obama in office, there's no more or less harm done to the innocent children who are already killed in abortions if they are used for medical research.
I think it creates a dependence on something evil, and that if there's a Hell, the researchers will likely end up in the same corner as Dr. Mengele, who did medical research on Jews in concentration camps, but research away.
It's a shame methods of harvesting stem cells that don't require killing can't be used.
