View Full Version : Obama prepares to suck Putin's dick
According to a questionable Russian souce which was linked on Drudge, Obama is preparing to suck Putin's dick in exchange for his "cooperation" on the issue of Iran's nuclear program (http://en.rian.ru/russia/20090302/120375219.html). I guess McCain wasn't exagerrating when he warned us that Obama was planning on sucking the cocks of the leaders of many countries that cannot be trusted.
Seriously:
Washington has told Moscow that Russian help in resolving Iran's nuclear program would make its missile shield plans for Europe unnecessary, a Russian daily said on Monday, citing White House sources.
U.S. President Barack Obama made the proposal on Iran in a letter to his Russian counterpart, Dmitry Medvedev, Kommersant said, referring to unidentified U.S. officials.
Iran's controversial nuclear program was cited by the U.S. as one of the reasons behind its plans to deploy a missile base in Poland and radar in the Czech Republic. The missile shield has been strongly opposed by Russia, which views it as a threat to its national security. The dispute has strained relations between the former Cold War rivals, already tense over a host of other differences.
Seriously.

Um, Obama said throughout his campaign he would give every foreign leader a fair shake. Clearly, you weren't paying attention.
Bush said he looked into Putin's soul and saw "a good man," so I'm not sure what kind of criticism you're trying to make here. No President, ever, will just ignore Russia.
well, putin has been convicted of rape more than once, he has openly told world leaders that he might start a war with them, plus he's a much better speaker than obama, this time next year alaska will be russian territory.
and his personal army is bigger than the US army.
he refers to obama as "cotton boy"
I don't think he should ignore Russia. I think this particular deal was a bad idea and shows that Obama is soft on terrorism and international relations. Also, the deal was rejected because "Russians don't haggle" and now Obama looks like even more of an idiot.
There are reasons other presidents haven't given the leaders of every country "a fair shake." And yes, I did listen during his campaign (clearly because I quoted McCain on it) and it's one of the reasons I didn't vote for Obama!

By the way, Obama has denied a deal of this nature was being discussed. I suspect it's one of those things where a policy decision was test ballooned by leaking it to the media to gauge a response. Clearly, the response hasn't been too good.
Still, Obama will have to deal with Putin, one way or another. Bush dealt with Putin plenty, so once again, I'm not sure where you're going. The President and his advisers are way more qualified to decide how to deal with Russia than we are. It's not like the economy where everything is based on fairly straightforward concepts. Foreign relations is a game, and it's a lot more complex than "yes, we should compromise with this person" or "no, we shouldn't."
As I said, the source looked questionable, so I noted that in my first post.
Of course, I understand that we need to have relations with Russia. This struck me as putting way too much trust in Russia to surveil Iran, not to mention there must have been a reason for that missile shield plan. Too far, too fast. Apparently Putin thinks so, too.

We would never leave Russia to police Iran on their own, no matter what we say. That doesn't mean we have to exclude them from how we deal with Iran, though.
Personally, I think all the "missile shield" business is a bunch of hooey, considering there are no proven systems for shooting down missiles under a hypothetical "first strike" scenario, which is what SDI projects are always about.
But I'd think long and hard about why Russia wouldn't want a missile shield there.
Honestly, I'm hoping Obama has thought all of these things through. I just don't think it's wrong for the private citizens to keep an eye on this sort of thing.

Would we want Russia putting a missile shield in Mexico?
Just because the Cold War is over doesn't mean people aren't constantly preparing for the next war. You never want to give a potential enemy too much breathing room, and Russia certainly qualifies.
Who says Russia deserves to be on equal ground with the U.S.?
