I'm assuming you mean they're as likely to hold jobs as white people, which seemed to be the case when I was staying down there. I had no idea how bad things were in the central north island, which is why I tell people who haven't been up here not to run their mouths about equality.

I wonder what would happen if this was put to a vote--New Zealanders of all colour voting on whether "land rights" should extend to kicking people of a certain colour off of beaches. I think the law would fail miserably, with only central North Island Maori supporting it.
