This is an interesting article (http://money.cnn.com/2009/01/07/technology/lashinsky_google.fortune/index.htm). It's common knowledge that Google and the internet are killing newspapers and magazines.
The question is, do you care?
Do you still read a newspaper?
I'm forced to read the shitty local paper because there's no online version and I need to know about things like if the water's poisoned or rubbish day has been changed because of a holiday. Other than that, I no longer read papers.
I used to read the paper in Wellington, and before that, I read the Chicago Tribune daily. But now, I'm just too lazy. I prefer the online format, seeing all of the major headlines in one page, not having to fumble to find a story--it's there at one click.
But I will still miss newspapers. I just don't know if it's worth saving them just for nostalgia.
Thoughts?
