Contest '06 is Up!

The best way to view it is to go to http://www.angstlust.com and click on the blog entry with the link, as it's easier to read in the frame. Or at least I think it is.

I would like everyone to read over the entries in each category. I haven't opened voting yet but I will do so tomorrow night. What I'd like you guys to do is check over your entries. If I got anyone in the wrong categories, missed their title, or if you submitted and your entry isn't up, send me a PM and I'll rectify the error.

Be sure to check quickly, before we begin voting tomorrow night!

All right, here's how to vote. After you've read all of the stories and poems here (http://www.angstlust.com/contest06/), use the following ballot to vote. Copy the ballot and paste it into a private message. Then, select the stories or poems you're voting for. You must PM your ballot to me. Do not email it or send it via Myspace.

For each category, select one story for first, one story for second, and one story for third place. You only need to vote in the categories you care about--ie if you have no interest in poetry and just want to vote in the fiction category, you may do so--but you must select a first, second and third place story in the categories you choose to vote for.

Your first place story will receive three points, your second place story will receive two points, and your third place story will receive one point.

I'll announce what prizes I'm giving out tomorrow, but voting won't close until next week Saturday if you're in New Zealand or Australia, Friday if you're in the United States. Also, best in contest won't be determined until these categories are.

Also, one more note--anonymity. In the past, Angstlust contests have been fairly anonymous. Nobody found out who wrote what story until after the contest was finished. This year is unique in that some of the stories have been posted here, some are clearly identifiable as a specific member's work, and some use characters obviously from certain writers' novels.

If you want to announce which of the stories you've written in this thread, you may do so, but please don't try to self-promote in order to get votes.

I'm sorry if I missed you, Rach, but I used to have heaps of help with these things and now everyone's gone away.

I did send out an email and announce in here to please check and make sure that if you submitted, your story was up and in the right categories. Angel was the only one who responded that I'd made an error.
